1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account details: your email address and the login credentials you set.
• Payment details you give us: the amount, date, the name on the account you paid from, any note, and the email addresses of team members you list. We do not receive your bank card or online banking details.
• Subscription records: your plan, status and dates.
• Technical information: our hosting provider may log your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you request, for security and to keep the service working.
• What you type into the place search and the start and end points of routes you check are used to produce your result. We do not keep a history of your searches.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

We use your information to:

• create and run your account and give you access (to carry out our agreement with you);
• confirm payments and manage your subscription (to carry out our agreement with you, and to meet accounting and legal duties);
• keep the service secure and prevent misuse (our legitimate interests);
• contact you about your account or the service (our agreement with you, or our legitimate interests);
• meet legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers who process it for us:

• Supabase: stores account and subscription data and handles login.
• Vercel: hosts the website and application.
• openrouteservice (HeiGIT): provides place search and road routes. The text you type into the place search and the start and end points of a route you check are sent to it.
• OpenStreetMap tile servers: supply the map pictures. Your device requests them directly, so they can see your IP address.

5. Where information is processed

Some of our providers store or process information outside Nigeria. Where this happens we rely on providers that protect personal information to a standard that meets the law, and we share only what is needed.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and subscription information while your account exists. We keep payment records for as long as accounting and legal rules require. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove what identifies you.

7. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and other reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your information, where we have no need or duty to keep it;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to certain uses;
• withdraw consent where we rely on it.

9. Making a request or complaint

10. Cookies and local storage

We store a login session on your device so that you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

11. Children

SafeCorridor is for adults and organisations. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

We may update this policy. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
